As its name implies, Flash Effect Maker is an application that allows you to create animations in Flash. It can be easily used by both novices and experienced individuals.
The interface of the program is dull and cluttered. Flash Effect Maker allows you to choose one of the samples that revolve around Flash navigation, banners, intros, menus and buttons, slideshows and text effects, among others.
Flash Effect Maker allows you to produce 3D carousels, images, icons, text and multi-level menus, as well as animated or static text, slideshows, 3D slideshows, movie clips and static images.
All these features have customizable options which focus on the font style, color and position, button links, menu templates, zoom level and position, text effects and image adjustments.
From the "Flash Options" area you can specify the animation size and frames per second, enable links, select the loading image and add a sound file. Projects can be saved for further editing and results can be published for webpages in the SWF, HTML or JPEG format.
The program requires a moderate-to-high amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and includes user documentation. Flash Effect Maker did not cause us any issues throughout our testing, such as freezing, crashing or displaying error dialogs. However, the interface can be difficult to figure out by inexperienced users. But we must keep in mind the fact that Flash Effect Maker has not received updates for a long time.
