Mainly designed for those passionate about 'deep house', nitroflex is a five-oscillator synthesizer VST plug-in that provides you with a decent set of presets, filters, LFOs and effects.
The first thing you should know is the fact that the plug-in requires a VST compatible host present on your computer in order to run. We recommend that you find a good VST host right from the start since the plug-in's manual is not what you would call a comprehensive.
The interface is outdated when it comes to its looks, but thanks to a well thought-out arrangement of all the elements, it is by no means difficult to get to grips with.
On the left side, you can start working with the four oscillators and control the octaves, semitones and pulse-width modulation. Please note that there is a fifth oscillator that also packs a noise generator.
The plug-in comes with two built-in filters that can be adjusted using a couple of modes, namely Lowpass, Highpass, Bandpass, pow and Soft. In addition, all the filters can be set to Parallel or Serial mode.
In addition, nitroflex also bundles three LFOs and the same number of envelopes. With the help of the LFOs, you can easily control parameters like speed, depth, and delay attack.
Furthermore, it brings to the table a set of filters with self-explanatory names: Reverb, Delay, Vibrato, Phaser, Chorus, EQ and Distortion.
Taking all of the above into consideration, nitroflex is a straightforward and above average VST plug-in that provides a decent amount of presets and specialized tools without overcomplicating things.
The only thing we can really reproach is the fact that it does not feature a more comprehensive user manual.
