DVD Rip Master is a software app that you can use to rip DVD videos and to convert them to other file types, such as MPEG, AVI, VCD and SVCD.
The interface of the program is plain and simple to navigate through. You can open a DVD, IFO or VOB file by using either the file browser or 'drag and drop' method. It is possible to process multiple DVD movies in a single session.
The file queue shows the output name, IFO name, number of chapters and length for each DVD video. So, once you establish the destination folder and output format, you can proceed with the conversion procedure.
Experienced users are free to tinker with the audio and video properties when it comes to the index, audio track, angle, subtitle language, zoom mode and split mode. Furthermore, you can crop videos and specify the CPU priority level.
From the 'Preference' screen, you can select the rendering mode for the preview, choose some audio and video options (e.g. output frame rate, deinterlace and luminance filter, subtitle offset), as well as some MPEG specific features (e.g. motion search, mux rate, quant, export).
The DVD ripping tool requires a moderate-to-high amount of CPU and system memory, is pretty responsive to commands, quickly finishes a conversion job and delivers videos with a fair image and sound quality. We have not come across any issues during our evaluation; DVD Rip Master did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs.
