Amor Video Converter is a lightweight application that you can use to encode video files to multiple formats, including AVI and MPEG. It can be easily used, no matter how inexperienced you are.
The interface of the tool is plain and simple to navigate through. Video clips can be imported into the list by using the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is allowed.
In the list you can check out the source and output path, along with output format of each video. So, once you establish the output profile and directory, you can proceed with the encoding job.
Additionally, you can configure audio and video settings when it comes to the codec, height, frame rate, sample frequency rate, bit rate, and others. But you can also remove an item from the list or clear the entire queue, preview clips in a small, built-in media player, as well as change the interface skin.
The simple-to-use program takes up a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, includes a well-written step-by-step tutorial with snapshots for beginners, quickly finishes a task and generally manages to keep a good image and sound quality. However, it didn't convert the image of an AVI file (to MPEG) during our tests.
Also, it has some compatibility issues with Windows 7 (several errors pop up when attempting to initiate conversion). All in all, Amor Video Converter comes packed with the necessary and suffice elements for encoding videos and we recommend it to all users who are looking for a straightforward tool, especially novices.
