As the name of this program suggests, Agile Video Splitter is designed to help you cut video files of multiple formats. It supports several types, including AVI, MPG, MP4 and WMV. But it can also turn the output videos into other formats.
The tool comes with a plain and simple interface. Items can be imported via the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" functionality is not included.
So, you can check out the source path of the video and preview it in a built-in media player. Splitting it can be done by marking the start and end position or time values, or into equal sections. Once the output directory and file type (e.g. AVI, FLV, 3GP) have been established, you can start the trimming process with the default settings.
Otherwise, you can make audio and video modifications when it comes to the codec, size, bit rate, bit tolerance, frame rate, aspect ratio, sample rate, channel mode, volume, bit exact algorithms and deinterlacing. It is possible to overwrite existing profiles but you cannot restore options to default.
In the "Settings" area you can change the default output directory, as well as set Agile Video Splitter to overwrite existing files and to exit, open the output directory or to turn off the computer when the task is done.
The video processing tool requires a moderate-to-high amount of system resources to finish a task briefly. It has a good response time and outputs a fair image and sound quality after conversion. Unfortunately, you cannot cut multiple selections from the same video in a single session. No recent updates have been made.
