ViVi Video Converter is a program designed to help you encode video clips to MP4 and 3GP. But it can also prepare items for iPod and PSP devices.
The tool comes with a user-friendly interface. Importing items can be done with the help of a file browser ("drag and drop" is not supported). It is possible to convert multiple entries at the same time.
The file queue displays the thumbnail, name, duration, resolution, audio and video format, along with the start and end time of each clip. If you want to leave the default settings unaltered, then you can directly start the encoding operation after specifying the output directory and file type.
Otherwise you can configure audio and video options when it comes to the resolution, quality, frame rate, channel mode and sample rate.
Unfortunately, you cannot restore settings to default but you can create new output profiles. Plus, you can preview entries in a built-in media player, as well as trim them by marking the start and end position. The output directory is automatically opened after conversion.
The video processing program consumes a low-to-moderate amount of system resources and finishes a task quickly. It has a good response time and outputs videos with a good image and sound quality. We have not come across any errors throughout our testing and ViVi Video Converter did not freeze or crash.
On the downside, you cannot set the tool to power off the computer after conversion, specify the thread priority or minimize ViVi Video Converter to the system tray. No recent updates have been made.
