All Converter is a program designed to help you modify the format of audio files into AAC, MP3, WAV, WMA, OGG, VQF and APE.
The tool is wrapped in a plain and simple interface. Items can be imported into the file list by using either the file browser or "drag and drop" method. Processing multiple items at the same time is possible.
The file queue provides specific information on each entry, namely the initial and output name and format, along with source and target directory. Once the output destination and file type are established, you can initialize the encoding procedure with the default settings.
Skilled users can fiddle with the audio settings when it comes to the bit rate, sample rate, quality, channel mode, variable bit rate, compression level and tag format. Options can be restored to their default values.
Plus, you can normalize the volume, copy ID3 tags, preview tracks in a built-in audio player, as well as remove an item from the list or clear the entire file queue.
The audio processing program finishes a task quickly while using a moderate amount of CPU and system memory. It is very responsive and includes a help file. We have not come across any problems during our testing. All Converter did not freeze, crash or pop up errors. The output tracks have a good sound quality.
On the downside, you cannot specify the number of CPU cores to be used, as well as set All Converter to automatically power off the computer or to open the destination folder after conversion. The interface needs some major improvements but we must keep in mind that All Converter has not been updated for a very long time.
