With the help of PhotoOnWeb you can put together photo albums and upload them to the developer's website or a custom server via FTP, or save them to the local disk.
It offers support for a wide range of popular file types, including .eps, .jpg, .bmp, .ico, ,emf, .wmf and .png.
The setup operation doesn't take a long time to finish. However, PhotoOnWeb offers to download and install another application made by the same developer. You can decline this offer to make a clean installation, though.
Wrapped in a large window with a clear-cut structure, the app invites you to create a new photo album by specifying a name, title and comments, after which you can populate it with image files from the computer or removable media.
You can preview thumbnails, rotate the pictures, apply a black and white or sepia filter, ask the tool to automatically adjust the color levels, as well as to sort them by name, date, range, type, or size.
Once the project is done, you can save it to file to resume operations later, or generate the photo album and upload it to the developer's website. However, you need to sign up for an account first.
Alternatively, you can upload the files to a public server or personal website via FTP, or just save the photo album to the local disk to inspect the HTML files. Undoing and redoing actions is possible, together with viewing log details with the program's activity.
The software utility didn't hang, crash or display error messages in our tests. It had minimal impact on computer performance, using low CPU and RAM. Nevertheless, in our case, it failed to load the actual images in the photo album when opening the HTML index file on the local disk. On top of that, it offers support for few FTP servers. However, you can test it for yourself.
